Kuban Agro established. Company’s overall area of land under cultivation is 30,000 hectares, it employs 2,200 people.
2003
Ust-Labinsk elevator (with a seed storage capacity of 150,000 tons) and a bread-baking plant that produces over 20 sorts of bread and biscuits become a part of the company.
Tikhoretsk seed plant is bought (its capacity is of 5,000 tons per year).
2004
Company’s overall area of land under cultivation is 8,000 hectares. Machinery fleet is renewed.
2005
The company buys three agricultural enterprises; the area of land under cultivation expands to 40,000 hectares.
Korenovsk elevator with a storage capacity of 100,000 tons of seed is bought.
2006
“Svoboda” sugar refinery is bought. Today “Svoboda” is one of the most efficient sugar refineries in Russia.
Decision taken to implement seed production in accordance with the highest world standards, over one technological cycle from selection to realization.
Ladozhsk seed plant is bought. After modernization, it has become one of the most technologically equipped seed plants in Russia.
A “Druzhba” multifunctional service center that repairs and overhauls agricultural equipment is built and starts working. Today it is the largest service center for maintenance and repair of agricultural equipment in Eastern Europe. The center’s machinery fleet includes more than 200 units from world leading manufacturers.
2007
In the framework of the national priority program for the agro-industrial complex development, the company starts construction of a “Kuban” dairy farm and a 25,000-heads hog farm.
Start of implementation of a production system based on Japanese philosophy of kaizen. Kuban Agro becomes the first agroindustrial company in Russia with the working process organized in accordance with the principles of the production system.
Start of a program to increase the “Svoboda” sugar refinery’s capacity by 40% (to 6,000 tons) and its technological update.
Company’s overall area of land under cultivation is 57,000 hectares.
2008
The 25,000-heads hog farm and a “Kuban” megafarm are set in operation. The fully automated “Kuban” megafarm is the largest one in the Krasnodar territory and in the Southern Federal District. The farm holds 1,800 animals (1,000 of them are the forage cows). The farm produces 20 tons of superior-quality milk per day.
To develop own breeding, Kuban Agro hires one the most famous breeders, Mikhail Chumak, head of the selection laboratory in the Krasnodar Research Institute of Agriculture.
By that time Mikhail Chumak has already developed 70 corn hybrids and the so-called haploid explosion method which tripled the speed of generation of a new range of corn.
Thanks to this method, the number of corn hybrids developed over the past 5-10 years matched that of the previous 60 years.
2009
A Belorechensk seed plant is bought, its capacity is 3,000 tons per year.
A “Voskhod” horse farm, which breeds thoroughbred English horses, is bought.
Company’s overall area of land under cultivation expands to 75,000 hectares of arable land.
2010
A Center for Feed Quality Control is established. It is an accredited laboratory with more than 60 research projects underway. This center enables the company to manage feed quality at all production stages.
2011
The highest yield of winter wheat fixed at 65 centner/ha. More than 170,000 tons of wheat gathered.
“Svoboda” sugar refinery processes 583,000 tons of raw materials and produces 77,000 tons of sugar. An amount of raw materials close to this number was received in the enterprise only once in its half-century history – in 1989, when 521,000 tons of sugar beet were produced.
Company’s overall area of land under cultivation reaches 84,000 hectares.
2012
Implementation of two investment projects starts – a slaughterhouse with a capacity of 8,400 tons per year and a new 50,000 head capacity hog farm.
The kaizen-based production system has seen productivity triple since 2007. The economic effect of the production system implementation exceeded 500 million rubles.
Kuban agro named as one of the top-5 most efficient land users in Russia, according to the “RBC” magazine rating.
On the tenth anniversary of the company 130 employees were received honored agricultural worker status.
2013
“Kuban” megafarm becomes one the first farms in the Krasnodar territory that is certified for compliance with the European Union’s requirements. This certification enables the megafarm to work with the manufacturers which supply production to the European market.
The “Voskhod” horse farm’s stallion Kirill wins the Krasnodar Territory Governor's cup.
The overall yield of all crops is 30% higher than the previous year rates.
Kuban Agro becomes one of the top-5 most efficient land users in Russia again, according to the “RBC” magazine rating.
The company’s revenue in 2013 amounted to 7 billion rubles, net profit increased to 656 million rubles. Since 2003 Kuban Agro has seen a 12 times increase in revenues, the net profit has increased almost fourfold since 2007.
2014
“Svoboda” sugar refinery reaches the point of 5,000 tons of sugar beet processed per day.
“MIR” company is acquired by the Kuban Agro, company’s overall area of land under cultivation expands to 90,000 hectares which is three times more than it was in 2002 when the company was established.
